HOW MUCH IS THIS COSTING YOU?
We can save you...
Calculations are based on the following:
1. Numbers of mild, moderate and severe rates of depression in the legal industry. Results published by Chan, J., Poynton, S., & Bruce, J. (2014). ‘Lawyering Stress and Work Culture: An Australian Study’. UNSW Law Journal. 37(3). p. 2014-61.
2. Hours lost annually due to mild, moderate and severe mental health issues. Reported by PwC (2014). Creating a mentally healthy workplace – Return on investment analysis.
3. For Wage assumptions we took the Median wage for an Australian Lawyer as reported by PayScale: Accessed 27 July, 2017 http://www.payscale.com/research/AU/Job=Attorney_%2f_Lawyer/Salary
4. The real cost of absenteeism and presenteeism has been calculated as a function of wage costs and lost revenue. We have estimated average annual revenue per employee at 400% of annual wage (but you can override this with your exact numbers). Reference Ackman, D. (2003). ‘Big Lawyers Still Not So Big’. Forbes Magazine. Accessed 27 July 2017.
5. Our results have demonstrated 36% reductions mental health issues among working adults. Ref: Aggs, C. (2016). ‘Mindfulness and Enhancing EQ Program’: White Paper. p,1-21.
